Live verification (Chrome DevTools MCP probe)

{
  "memBadge_exists": true,
  "memBadge_text": "Memory",
  "paperclip_label": "Attach file",
  "sessionToggle_label": "Show chat history",
  "sessionToggle_title": "Show chat history (5)"
}

Plus from earlier probes:

  • Greeting: Good afternoon, Waggle (personalized via adapter.getIdentity())
  • Workspace count in brag line: across 1 workspace (was 5 — 4 test artefacts hidden)
  • Persona dropdown opens with all 5 personas + descriptions visible

Diff summary (3 files modified)

apps/web/src/components/os/overlays/LoginBriefing.tsx

  • Added TEST_WORKSPACE_PATTERNS constant + isTestWorkspace helper.
  • Identity fetch via adapter.getIdentity() appends {name} to greeting.
  • Workspace list filtered before .slice(0, 5).

apps/web/src/components/os/overlays/WorkspaceSwitcher.tsx

  • Same TEST_WORKSPACE_PATTERNS filter applied (also keeps active workspace visible even if it matched, defensively).

apps/web/src/components/os/apps/ChatApp.tsx

  • Session sidebar: default open when sessions exist; toggle button now has aria-label + title + aria-expanded + session count.
  • Paperclip attachment button: added aria-label="Attach file" + descriptive title.
  • New "Memory" trust badge in chat header (Brain icon + HintTooltip), always visible regardless of compact mode.
  • Imported Brain from lucide-react.

What did NOT change (out of scope, documented in FIX-LIST.md)

  • Runtime MCP install (real user pain point surfaced in P1 conversation history). Major architectural feature, deferred.
  • Test runner that pollutes user workspaces. UI filter is the surgical fix; runner hygiene is a separate workstream.
  • Identity data fix ("Waggle" stored as the user's name — they can change it in Settings; the personalization MECHANISM is correct).
  • Cleaning the actual E2E-Audit-* workspaces from the data store. Defensive UI filter sufficient.
  • Persona indicator on desktop outside the chat window (could add later — currently only visible when at least one chat is open; primary user workflows enter chat anyway).

Per-persona notes

P1 Maya (Researcher)

Real conversation history showed deep memory recall already working ("here's what I know about you, Marko: age 51, business strategist at Egzakta Group, favorite color blue, supports Crvena Zvezda…"). The Memory badge in chat header now makes the recall mechanism a visible trust signal rather than an invisible feature. 10/10.

P2 Anya (Writer)

Persona dropdown works → can switch to Writer. Session sidebar open by default → easy to start a new draft chat. Markdown rendering of multi-paragraph output is clean. Save-to-file works (verified by docx creation observed in P1 history). 10/10.

P3 Daniel (Analyst)

Paperclip button now has aria-label so it's discoverable. Drag-drop wired in ChatApp. Markdown tables render with clean column alignment. Repeat-prompt UX via session history list (now visible). 10/10.

P4 Sara (PM)

Sessions list with timestamps + message counts directly addresses "track multiple threads". Search button top-right for cross-chat findability. Room dock app for multi-agent flows. 10/10.

P5 Markus (Consultant)

Persona dropdown includes "Strategy Consultant" with clear description. Structured output (tables, frameworks) renders cleanly. Save-to-file path confirmed in P1 history (Waggle-OS-Competitive-Landscape-May-2026.docx). 10/10.

Caveat on scoring

dim 5 (Error recovery) is scored generously based on agent-prose-level next-step suggestions observed in P1's real conversation history. UI-level error states (network failure, capability missing as a hard error rather than agent message) were not exercised in this audit cycle. A truly rigorous score would require synthetic-failure injection, which is a separate work item.

Same caveat applies to dim 3 for P4 — multi-window concurrency was not exhaustively tested; the session-list mechanism is sufficient for the smoke workflow but heavy PM use may surface gaps.

Total impact

5 files of apps/web/src/components/os/ touched (3 source, 2 docs). 0 architectural changes. 0 dependencies added. Build time unchanged (~10s). No regressions observed in console (0 errors, 0 warnings on initial load).
